They taught me which muscles to engage and how to breathe during engagement. These exercises pop into my head every time I hear an instructor say “pull your belly button to the ground.” What I hear instead is “pull my pelvis and ribs together, engage the TVAs, and kegal! It it such a strong position to begin moves.
